On 24 August, around 150 people protested outside the Masovian Voivodeship Office in Warsaw, despite the rain. The protest was organised by the Głos Migranta initiative — it is not our action, but it concerns exactly the same problem.

What happened

MOST reported the case of a Belarusian citizen, an IT specialist living in Poland. He filed his residence permit application in December — since then his only document has been the stamp confirming that the application was submitted; he was still waiting for a fingerprinting appointment.

What happened

In November 2024, five people were detained, including an official of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office. According to investigators, the scheme involved speeding up residence legalisation cases in exchange for financial benefits. The arrests were made in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Bydgoszcz.
