Joint recommendations for efficient residence legalisation

Tu Żyjemy contributed to recommendations for improving residence legalisation, published by the Polish Migration Forum Foundation on 21 September 2026. They were developed jointly by civil society organisations, migrant initiatives, experts, academics, municipal institutions, and employer and trade union representatives.

The recommendations address timely case processing, stronger staffing at public offices, simpler procedures and protection of the rights of people awaiting residence decisions.

We thank the Polish Migration Forum and everyone involved for their work and for giving a voice to people who experience the effects of prolonged proceedings every day.
