Protest outside the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office in Gdańsk
The assembly of 7 September 2026. Between 200 and 300 people; a petition with 11 points handed to the first vice-voivode.
An assembly outside the Department for Foreigners of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office, ul. Chmielna 74/76 in Gdańsk, on 7 September 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00. Notified and entered in the register of public assemblies of the Gdańsk City Office.
Between 200 and 300 people came — more than had confirmed their attendance.
What we handed over
We handed the petition prepared for the protest to the first vice-voivode, Emil Rojek. It contained 11 points from the protest demands — those falling within the competence of the office. The remaining 4 concern nationwide matters and are addressed to the government and the Sejm.
The petition of 7 September 2026 — details and status
What was agreed
- The vice-voivode promised 24 new posts in the department for foreigners.
- A working meeting with the office was agreed.
A promise of posts changes nothing by itself. We will ask what kind of posts these will be — people who conduct cases and issue decisions, or front-desk service — when they start work, and how that shows up in the waiting times.
